Text Box:                 Earth Dialogues Pakistan was a local realization of Earth Dialogues  initiated by Green Cross International        and Earth Council Institute in 2002, which is a public forum with the aims to mobilize global public interest, and action in true environ/economic sustainable developments. This forum in Pakistan aims at  providing  a  platform    to  highlight   and integrate  the  disintegrated concepts of sustainable developments .                   First  Earth Dialogues Pakistan was spoken  on 20th December 2003 as  one day event at Lahore. More than  200  people attended  the event   including elite/ influencing  figures of the society .Ministers and  members of parliament  , judges , Scientists , businessmen , students and local NGOs representatives  .                The earth dialogues Pakistan  was in the perspective of  indicating  and finding the  sustainable solutions through the visionary approach of those  having the mature  vision  in their views , thoughts , and actions .This forum provided a  frame work  for  highlighting   the unsustainable  practices of developments in public and private  sectors   and  introducing the codes of  ethics based on true  sustainable developments  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

      Green Values and behaviors could be  set  through awareness programs which  can  be  acheived  through seminars and green exhibitions . Green Cross Pakistan  organizes such  seminars  and  exhibitions from  time  to  time .

 

 

 

 

     For the awareness on environmental issues and as a segment of environmental education ,on every Earth Day Green Cross Pakistan launches “Green Signatures Campaign” . Through this campaign signatures are collected from students of schools , colleges and universities aiming at the commitment and determination to save the earth from unhealthy activities and make the planet living worthy for the posterity. Education through printed material  is an  important tool  to set green behaviours .  Green Cross employs this educational  tool  by  publishing  educational booklets .

       

         

 

      

 

 

TREE PLANTATION – SCHOOL CAMPAIGN

       Tree plantation training  for school children is an important investment in environmental education . Planting trees by children is a campaign to develop interest of children to save environment with earth’s lungs.    The campaign carried out twice a year. Children are given certificate after the day long working of tree plantation as a reward of encouragement. It is a part  to set   behaviors  to fight against desertification, by the small tender hands of future planners of the earth.It is a  mobile Green Cross School  campaign  goes to other schools and  organizes tree education programs.
